Trinity Episcopal Church is a welcoming community
sharing the good news of Jesus Christ
through worship, fellowship,
learning, & service.
We are located in historic downtown Galveston on the corner of 22nd and Winnie Streets. Our beautiful gothic structure, completed in 1857, has been the spiritual home for over five generations of Galvestonians.
Join us for worship and explore these pages to learn more about this
vibrant community of faith.
Welcome to
Trinity Episcopal Church
Although Trinity Church and School sustained heavy damage when Hurricane Ike struck Galveston Island on September 13, 2008, we are worshiping in our historic 1857 sanctuary at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings accompanied by the beautiful music of our pipe organ. Godly Play for children begins at 9:15 a.m. with children rejoining their families during The Peace. Coffee, refreshments and fellowship follow the service in one of the cloister classrooms. We are delighted to welcome visitors!
Excellent progress is being made on restoration. For an updated report from the Junior Warden click here. A fascinating Newsletter prepared by Willet Hauser Art Glass Studios explaining the process of repairing and restoring the Tiffany Altar and Nativity windows can be viewed here. Those wishing to make contributions for hurricane recovery efforts at Trinity may use the Donate button on the left.
Most of all, we ask your prayers for those lives affected by the destruction and for those working to respond to our needs.
